[ music | Weezer - Perfect Situation ]

You knew this was coming, didn't you?

Sorry, we're dead.

...I don't feel like I should leave without an explanation. As I've mentioned in the past, I don't always have time to do this. I'm in high school now, and it's controlling me. Like now--I have about four hours of studying to do each night in order to get ready for midterms. There's also what I'm doing offline--I am constantly babysitting and such. I love running a MLJ, but it pretty much took too much effort.

I won't disappear completely, I might pop up from time to time in communities such as [info]jpop_mp3s. But as for [info]asianmoosic... it's pretty much safe to say we're done.

Good luck to everyone and thank you for sticking with me, and I hope you hear lots of good J-Pop in the future!!

I am so, so sorry.

I said it'd be December 1 and, look, it's December 11 with no update. I have it pieced together for the most part, I just need to upload the songs. If I can't do that tonight, I promise you all it will be up tomorrow. It's Christmasy, which pretty much everyone else has done, but hey... I'm a procrastinator at heart.

And Ai Otsuka's album comes out tomorrow, so that wil get me motivated to share more J-Pop! :D

But, still, I'm very sorry.

Update 16 [November 27th, 2005]
[ music | Franz Ferdinand - This Boy ]

Sorry this is late!!! Last week I completely did not have time. X__x I’m terribly sorry. Also, next week’s update will (hopefully) be posted on Thursday, because I won’t be home Friday-Sunday.

People really seemed to like the last update. <3 I’ll try to live up to everyone’s expectations now, though I doubt I will be able to. >_<;;

Since it was a very rainy, dreary and overcast week where I am, I thought I’d make this update rain themed. However, not many people want to make songs about rain, so I changed the theme to water. ^__^ Enjoy! <3<3

o1. Comment, please!
o2. Enjoy~

Song Helpless Rain(But I’m fallin’too deep)
Artist 中島美嘉 [Nakashima Mika]
Album “Helpless Rain” MAXI Single
Duration 5:11
Language Japanese
Lyrics
★★★★☆

First off—that is the way the song title is supposed to be written; I checked on amazon.co.jp. Secondly—this song does feature Heartsdales and VERBAL, but since they weren’t listed on the single, I didn’t put them up there with Mika. Confusing, yes, but I just thought you should know. Anyways, the song! Like many of Mika’s works, it has a distinct R&B feel to it. I have never been a fan of Mika, but I will admit that she’s talented; her voice is very powerful and somewhat soulful. I especially like the beginning and the middle (about 3:00), where Heartsdales rap. “But I’m fallin’, fallin’ too deep!”

Song Rainy Days Never Stays
Artist the brilliant green
Album THE WINTER ALBUM
Duration 3:52
Language Japanese/English
Lyrics
★★★★★

I just learned that Tomoko Kawase and Shunsaku Okuda are married! O_O I think I posted this song, but I’m not quite sure, and if I have, it’s been a long time since. ^__^ This is more poppish than other BuriGuri stuff, but not insanely so. As usual with Tomoko, the English is a little off (pronunciation and grammatically), but I wouldn’t exactly call it Engrish. But, as usual with this band (TIME magazine named them one of the world’s best bands), everything is well done—the vocals, composition, everything. Definitely one of their more catchy songs.

[][]
Song RAINBOW
Artist 浜崎あゆみ [Hamasaki Ayumi]
Album A BALLADS
Duration 5:28
Language Japanese
Lyrics
★★★★★

Honestly, who hasn’t heard this song? It’s one of Ayu’s best, if I do say so myself. For once, her voice isn’t all up in your face! (I mean, um, ears), and there’s a lot more emphasis on the music. It also reaches a nice balance between synthy pop and ballad.

[][]
Song DIVE
Artist 坂本真綾 [Sakamoto Maaya]
Album DIVE
Duration 5:26
Language Japanese
Lyrics
★★★★★

The beginning of this song reminds me of when I pull the drain in the bathtub. Because that’s what it sounds like. :D Don’t worry, though, it gets a lot better! Strings and Maaya are introduced, producing a lovely ballad. The bathtub image slowly fades away as the song progresses, and it replaced with that of a stream. Or swamp.

[][]
Song Floods of tears (single version)
Artist L’Arc~en~Ciel
Album DUNE
Duration 5:42
Language Japanese
Lyrics
★★★★☆

Before I continue, let me just say this: this is the first time I have ever heard a L’Arc~en~Ciel song. (*gets shot*) They even had a concert about thirty minutes from my house. However, I hope that the rest of their stuff proves to be like this. I love the xylophone in the beginning. The lead singer’s voice is a little odd, but it grew on me. The guitar chord in the background just works perfectly, even if it seems a little out of place at first.

By the way, on the lyrics link, you’ll actually have to Control+F the song, it’s a pop-up.

I realize that, with this song, I am stretching the theme too much. So the last few uploads (3 MP3s, one PV) will just be recent releases.

[][]
Song Passion (PV Rip)
Artist 宇多田ヒカル [Utada Hikaru]
Album MAXI Single (to be released December 14, 2005)
Duration 4:38
Language Japanese
Lyrics
★★★☆☆

I have to say…although this song has grown on me a lot since my first listen, I am still quite disappointed. It’s way, way too disjointed. The chorus is kind of all over, and she keeps mumbling this weird phrase at random intervals (namely where it souldn’t go). Plus, looking at the lyrics, you can tell that she wrote this with Kingdom Hearts II in mind. That’s understandable, because it is the theme to it, after all, but the lyrics seem to just summarize the plot from the view of Sora (the main character). And that contributes to its ruin.

I can only hope that the “After Battle Ver.,” which is supposed to be the B-side to this single, proves better. I wonder, will it be a ballad version, or a hyped-up remix like the Planit-B one for “Hikari”?

Song | PV ♥Lonely in Gorgeous♥ (PV Rip) | ♥Lonely in Gorgeous♥
Artist Tommy february6
Album MAXI Single (to be released November 30, 2005) | N/A
Duration 4:02 |
Language Japanese
Lyrics
★★★★★

Thanks to [info]7chan for the cap. TOMMY FEBRUARY IS BACK!!...after a not-so-great heavenly6 album (but “+gothic Pink+” owns my life). This is a very fun song, her typical 80’s pop songs, but surprisingly with more Japanese and a whole lot less English. It’s cute, but not overly so; I guarantee this will be stuck in your head for days, or your money back (of course, you’re not paying anything for this, so I get out of that).

The PV is just as, if not more, fun. It starts out with Tommy dancing around in a bedroom, drinking out of that little alcohol bottle she always has. That part is boring, but it gets better fast—next thing you know, she’s a gun-toting, sexy police officer who certainly isn’t afraid to go kung-fu on you. There is a lot of funny stereotyping of police officers: the female one is pretty, the men have seventies’ hairstyles and huge dark sunglasses, and who can forget the doughnuts? Highly recommended. ^__^

[][]
Song Bold & Delicious (PV Rip)
Artist 浜崎あゆみ [Hamasaki Ayumi]
Album MAXI Single (to be released November 30, 2005)
Duration 5:07
Language Japanese
Lyrics N/A
★★★★☆

“Ya ya ya ya ga ga ga ga da da da da wo wo wo wo”? Ayu’s gone soul! For all her genre-hopping, she’s never had a song that sounds like this. I am SHOCKED that she let someone else sing for once—and, even more surprising, for the better part of the song. You don’t hear much of Ayumi herself at all. I’ll give her this: I have never heard Japanese people sing soul. I laugh every time I try to imagine it. Also, Hamasaki-san, this only fully convinces me that you copy what’s popular in America. (Though I did have my suspicions after “STEP You”—I mean, come on, across the ocean, “1, 2 Step” was dominating the charts.)

I’m still trying to decide if I like this song or not. In the end, I can probably conclude that it’s pretty good. But you’ll have to download it and see for yourself. It’ll be No. 1 on the Oricon, anyway.

Update 15 [November 12th, 2005]
[ mood | sick ]
[ music | Rie fu - Ame no Hi ga Sukitte Omotte Mitai ]

Tonight, we’re gonna ROCK!!! Or are we? This update features one of my favorite genres of music: piano ballads. Don’t start groaning yet!! I know some people find them boring, but that’s normally because they prefer the really fast-paced, high energy songs. Those are awesome, too, but piano ballads carry a lot of meaning and emotion. There’s a lot more emphasis on the lyrics and singing. So, please, give it a try even if it’s not your thing…

You may notice that I’ve changed the format a tad!! I now have the song and artist names in Japanese characters (if that’s the way they’re supposed to be). I’m also putting their surname before for the given one. Got it? It’s spontaneous, but I know that some people like it this way…

There's also a new layout, featuring the luverly Otsuka Ai. Banner was made by [info]endlesssite, shitty coding was done by me. If anyone knows how to scoot the banner over to the right just—a—couple—of—pixels!, I'd be much obliged. ^__^

Onto the music!

Song おきてがみ [Okitegami; Farewell Letter]
Artist 坂本真綾 [Sakamoto Maaya]
Album 少年アリス [Shounen Alice]
Duration 2:40
Language Japanese

Oh, Maaya. Managing to tug at my heartstrings with another beautiful, yet simple, song. I love the lyrics to this song, especially the way it’s starts off—“san-gatsu jyuu-roku nichi gozen go-ji san-jyuppun” (March 16, 5:30 A.M.). It makes it seem more like the letter it’s supposed to be, though why someone would sing a letter, I’ll never know. The…tinkling?...piano does a beautiful job acting as the bells the lyrics talk about. At first I thought this song was too short; then I realized that if it was drawn out anymore, it would lose some of the meaning, you know?

Song 誰かの願いが叶うころ [Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro; When Someone’s Wish Comes True]
Artist 宇多田ヒカル [Utada Hikaru]
Album MAXI Single
Duration 4:28

Okay, I’m REALLY looking forward to a new Hikaru album… and a big reason is because this song should be on there. This was the last single before “Be My Last,” and was released a full year and a half before it. Dammit! I’ve noticed Hikki’s fond of taking little hiatuses. No English at all in this song, which is surprising for her, and another shocker is the lack of instruments. There’s just a piano, a cello, and a little bit of acoustic guitar. Personally, I think this is one of her best songs. Nice vocal range.

Oh—I’ve read somewhere that Hikki’s almost done with her contract with Toshiba!! Does anyone know if this is true? Oh, and here’s another question: why is Hikaru written in katakana? That doesn’t make any sense, really…

Song LOVE~Destiny~ | HEAVEN “Piano Version”
Artist 浜崎あゆみ [Hamasaki Ayumi]
Album A BEST | MAXI Single
Duration 4:57 | 4:19
Language Japanese
★★★★☆ | ★★★☆☆

The song that blasted Ayumi into superstardom. What ever happened to stuff like this? You can see traces of this in her new single, “HEAVEN,” but it’s just not the same. The Ayumi in “LOVE~Destiny~” sounds shy and almost frightened, her voice is that soft. But she seems so innocent, not like now…sorry, I’m not really discussing the actual song. >_<;; I haven’t looked at the lyrics in FOREVER, so I’ve completely forgotten the translations, but the music itself is uplifting. While it’s pretty for the most part, I’ve stopped liking Ayu recently. Because, when you stop and think about it, her voice isn’t that great. Just wait until about 3:37 in the song or so—hear her squeak.

The second song is the piano version of Ayu’s new single, “HEAVEN.” I really have nothing to say. It’s typical of her. Another song where her case of TMVS (Too Much Vibrato Syndrome) shines through. About fifteen seconds of the song consists of her going “la la la” and most of the rest is the chorus repeated over and over and over. The piano is a little sad, but there’s really not much going for this song…

Song もう少し [Mou Sukoshi; A Little More]
Artist Kiroro
Album Diary
Duration 4:35
Language Japanese
★★★★★

If I had the money for this album, I would definitely get it. Kiroro is the type of stuff that makes me desperately wish I played the piano lessons. It’s just beautiful. Chiharu's voice is so rich and full of that emotion I was talking about earlier, mainly longing.

Song 愛されていたい [Aisarete Itai]
Artist 奥華子 [Oku Hanako]
Album vol.best
Duration 4:38

★★★★★

Full credit for this MP3 goes to [info]shekimusic. Thanks to her, I’ve fallen in love with Hanako, especially this song. She just sounds so passionate, and every song needs feeling to make it meaningful. In addition, her voice sounds very young and fresh. I’ve tried Googling her, but not that much comes up (and what does is in solid Japanese… XD); I’m surprised such a great artist isn’t more popular. Then again, this is the J-pop scene we’re talking about, and it all comes down to record labels in the end… Anyway, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this song!

[][]
Song Sweet Mom
Artist 柴咲コウ [Shibasaki Kou]
Album MAXI Single
Duration 4:31
Language Japanese
★★★★☆

The theme song for a movie—Kono Mune Ippai Ai Wo or something, right? I didn’t really like this song at first, thinking that her voice was a bit too low for me, but after two or three listens it’s grown on me. It’s actually pretty nice. AND LOOK! She does the same thing as Hikaru—writes her name in katakana!! Is it like the artist’s preference or something?

[][]
Song かざぐるま [Kazaguruma]
Artist 一青窈 [Hitoto You]
Album MAXI Single
Duration 4:44
Language Japanese
★★★★☆

Not exactly the prettiest girl on the block, is she? Shoot, now I feel bad for writing that. Hitoto You has a somewhat deep voice. She almost sounds like an enka singer, to me… for some reason… yeah. The piano’s not so prominent in this song, but maybe that’s a good thing. It’s getting on your nerves by now, isn’t it?! XD I really like what I think is a harp. You never hear about harps anymore!! And the plucking of the stringed instruments… the background music is probably the best part of this song; though the singing is definitely great, too. Just a warning, though: this song is the slowest in this update.

Song ほんとはね。 [Honto wa Ne; ] | Honto wa Ne (TV Rip)
Artist より子。[Yorico] | 松浦亜弥 & より子。[Matsuura Aya & Yorico]
Album Aizenaha | N/A
Duration 5:59 | 5:04
Language Japanese
★★★★★ | ★★★★★

This song is… long! But I promise you won’t mind much, because it’s a very nice song. Yorico is a singer who had throat cancer…makes me think of Full Moon wo Sagashite. I guess she’s recovered, because her website’s gotten an extreme makeover, and she got signed to a major label, and I think she has a new single (called “Hikari,” I believe). Anyway, it’s has this whole sad feel to it until about 3:20, when it gets happy and hopeful. Also, it’s a pretty quite song until 4:30, when it’s like BAM LOUD!! I also highly recommend this one. ^__^

The second song is a TV rip of Matsuura Aya (of Hello!Project fame) singing “Honto wa Ne” for some drama. She actually does a good job of it—this song really shows what Aya could do if she wasn’t being controlled by TSUNKU!!! Yorico comes in in the middle of the song, but her voice sounds really strained. I like how they added the orchestra in this version. Overall—I have to say I like this one better. Too bad it’s a TV rip.

I think Sonim did a cover of this song; I wonder what it sounds like.

Yet another question for you all—I’ve also seen her name written as “Yoriko.” I know that Japanese doesn’t really have a “c,” but then again, former Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon actress wrote her name as “Chieco Kawabe” on her debut album.

Update 14 [November 4th, 2005]

Sorry about the nonexistant update last week. I had one all typed out by the end of Saturday, but then stuff came up and I never had the time to post. >_<;; So that will come next week. This week, I want to post Sakamoto Maaya's brand new alum, Yuunagi LOOP, so you can expect last week's update, next week. :D It's quite big, and I think most of you should enjoy it.

Yay, a new Maaya album came out October 26!! It made me a very happy girl indeed. :D It features the song "ループ" ("LOOP"), the opening theme for the anime Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE.

Maaya has a voice that no one can match. It works perfectly with the soft pop, easy listening type of music she does. ""ハニー・カム" stands out from the rest of the songs on this album, because it sounds... almost like fast-paced synthy pop!! Most of the other songs, however, stick to the nice, relaxing pop tunes Maaya's been making for years. <3<3 This album is very very calming. I think that, unless you're mostly into harcore J-rock, there should be something on here that you like.

Everyone should love Maaya, but if you haven't and are wary about trying her, you might be interested in knowing that she did the voice os Aerith/Aeris in Final Fantasy: Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts. Now I want to see AC even more!!

Please excuse the bad review. -__-;; It's early. But still, take my advice and download at least one of the recommended tracks.

As you may have noticed, there wasn't an update this week. I really tried, but I was way to busy with homework and extracurriculars.

However, I will have a very large special update this weekend--promise! And the week after that, I'll get to the reuploads I need to.

Artist 坂本真綾 [Sakamoto Maaya]
Album 少年アリス [Shonen Alice]
Duration 4:05

★★★★★

Oh, I love this song!!! Maaya Sakamoto’s voice is simply amazing, and Yoko Kanno is one hell of a composer. Need I say more? “Park Amsterdam (The Whole Story)” has some slight ties to Alice in Wonderland amd some nursery rhymes (“met the Queen of Hearts while out dancing on the lake…”). The lyrics are quite cute; also, Maaya is one of the few artists who can get away with passing “na na na na na” off as real lyrics, because (through the power of digital editing) she’s also singing over it. And, contrary to what I’ve heard many people say, her English is extremely good, especially compared to some other artists. YouSendIt was blocking the file when it had the song name, so I renamed it.

Song Cherish
Artist 大塚愛 [Otsuka Ai]
Album LOVE for NANA ^Only 1 Tribute^
Duration 4:48

★★★★☆

More rockish than what I normally expect from Ai, but good nonetheless. “Cherish” has a bit of a sad, darker tone to it. The drums give it a slightly mysterious feel, and strings in the middle add a nice, if somewhat bittersweet sounding, touch. Like almost all of her songs, this one has a part where there’s just Ai with one instrument playing softly in the background (in this case, it’s the piano). There are lots of her songs I'd prefer over this (check out her new single "Planetarium"), but it's still not bad.

I was first introduced to Chieko Kawabe when she played Naru on Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. “Be Your Girl,” her debut single, is pretty standard pop: it's about Chieko wanting to be some dude's girlfriend, and it has the poppish guitar, so on and so on. But the chorus is really catchy!!

If you like the music any of the old Mario or Zelda games, this is for you. This J-indie group, a personal favorite of mine, manages to replicate that sound, but in a high pitch. Perfume's voices can get quite high, but the song is so fun you'll find yourself smiling anyway.

I really hope that they release an overseas version of this album soon. I mean, I love Tommy, but $30 is... a lot. x__x Anyway, “+gothic Pink+” is like its name suggests: a semi-cute pop-punk song with a darker tone. There're the muffled drums in the background, with the guitar really playing just one note at a time, instead of a chord. I know I'm bad at describing it, but believe me—once you’ve heard this song, you’ll know what I’m talking about. ^__~ My favorite part is in the middle, when Tommy’s voice gets all soft and sounds like someone stuffed a pillow in her mouth. This my favorite song off her new album.

Song Dragon
Artist Zwei
Album MAXI Single
Duration 5:17

Zwei (pronounced zz-vai) is definately J-trance instead of J-pop. Ayumu and Megu have never really made it to the top of the charts, but their music is still great. I think Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran is somehow involved with them...? Anway, “Dragon”--it has an awesomely heavy bass. There's also the very pretty and fitting cello part in the beginning and middle of the song.

PV Be My Last

Finally, our Hikki is back! After her debut English-language album didn’t do so well, Hikaru’s first Japanese single since early 2004 will be released on September 28. I'm sure most of you have heard the song; I don't think I'm going to post it until I have something of better-quality than the radio rip (though that's nice, too). The music video is really nicely done, it looks very professional (almost like a real movie!). Hikaru looks a lot different! She got bangs cut and I'm pretty sure she's been whitening her skin. But she's still very pretty, even if now she looks more like a cute dead girl. You'll soon see what I mean... Anyway, if you want to see Hikki get plowed over by a car, then this is for you!!

Yuna Ito's debut single!!

REIRA starring YUNA ITO, Endless Story

o1. Endless Story [][]

o4. Journey (Instrumental) [♪][♪]

Yuna Ito's debut single, "Endless Story," was just released September 7. Yuna plays Reira, rival of Mika Nakashima's Nana, in the new movie Nana. At least, I think that's how it goes. You've probably heard of Nana--the soundtrack is really good. Skye Sweetnam, Otsuka Ai... yes. Anyway, Yuna Ito has pretty much been kept a secret until the release of the movie. Her single is currently No. o2 on the Oricon and is competing with Mika's "GLAMOROUS SKY" for No. o1.

This song is a must-download! This is a piano/strings ballad for the most part, with Yuna's angelic voice accompanying it. According to Yuna, "Endless Story" is "...about love's innocence and sometimes painful honesty... love's bittersweet purity." "Journey," the B-side, is pretty good, too, but I like the title track better. ^__^ You can tell a lot of work went into this, especially for a debut single, and I can't wait to hear more from her.

Sadly, the site I got the single from has messed up its links, and I wasn't able to download the intrumental version of "Journey." So that's not up!!! I'll try to find an MP3 of it, though. ^^

In other news: no, I'm not dead! I've been super-busy again, but I'm finally adjusting to high school, and should to get back to reuglar updates soon. The last couple requests should be put up soon. And how does everyone like the new layout? I'm going to make a banner for it soon. ^__~

[ music | Monty Python - The Spam Song ]

Holy crap, this entire entry just deleted itself. Here goes again... yep, I'm updating tonight! My cousin's coming over in an hour or so and staying a few days, so I figured I would while I had the chance. Read the rules (we have FOUR now!).

~Want to help give AsianMoosic an extreme makeover? Read this entry for details! Whoever help gets to request some songs whenever I get off my butt and type up my playlist.
~VOTE ON THE NEXT ALBUM!!! Speena, Chu Chu de Vista!! *OR* Ayumi Hamasaki, LOVEppears

Thoughts on this Album
Haha! Actually, I don't have any! I have listened to maybe two songs on this entire album! YAY! I got into S.H.E. through my friend Lisa, whose parents are from China. Once upon a time, in a class where we do absolutely nothing.... Lisa: Hey, you like Japanese music, right? Me: Yeah. Why? Lisa: Any chance you'd like Chinese music? I have this cassette I got from China last summer of a group called S.H.E. It's pretty good. I could loan it to you. Me: 'Kay.

That cassette was "The Strong 14," and I loved it. Unfortunately, I don't think they made a CD version of it. I can't read/speak Mandarin Chinese, so I never could find MP3s of the songs.... *sigh* Now that I think about it, I never gave that cassette back. And it's summer, and we're not going to the same high school. O_O Waaah, I'm sorry, Lisa! I'll return it to you... somehow...

Hello, all! I'm back, and will definately update this week (with the S.H.E. album). ^^ I got lots of new stuff while on hiatus, and I can't wait to put that up, too!

Unfortunately, I've been having some layout trouble. I though that I'd be really cool and set is up so that this image is the background--fixed and to the left. Then I would put the text (in Generator-style) to the right of the screen. But the problem is... I can't figure out how!! If anyone could post some overrides that could fix this, I'd glomp you. <3

So, yeah. Any help would be appreciated, and see you soon~

[ music | Weezer- Such a Pity ]

I hate to say this, but as of May 14, 2005, AsianMoosic will be on hiatus. Why? I have three projects to complete and the HSAs to study and pass during the next three weeks. Updates will probably resume when school lets out--about mid-June.

Another reason for the hiatus is the problems I've been having with the free file-hoster. It doesn't seem to be able to take much downloading, but I don't want to go back to YouSendIt/YouShareIt. Someone offered to let me use their BitTorrent, and I would like to; but I would also like to provide direct downloading for the people like me, who cannot understand and/or use BitTorrent. If someone could loan me some space on their server to place MP3s, I'd really appreciate it. Updates are 15-16 MP3s maximum, because of albums, and are usually every week. Leave a comment with your e-mail if you can help me out.

By the way, the BT for "Love Jam" can be found here. Thanks to the anonymous poster!

Thank you for supporting AsianMoosic!

Update o9 [May 7th, 2005]

Wow! You guys were pretty divided on this, ne? Fifty-fifty (I counted the people who said they didn't care as one for each). But the last commenter put down Ai, so that's what I'll upload first. Two weeks from now will be S.H.E. ^__~ Anyway, please enjoy! Remove the entire album from YSI and I will get extremely pissed. I will only re-upp it once for this reason. If it's because a ton of people have downloaded, I'll upload it again and again. And we'll see if the new free-hoster works. If not links will return to YSI.

Well, I'm running out of time, so this'll be brief. This album is very good. The released singles are some of the best tracks. Highlighted Tracks: "Happy Days," "Daisuki Da Yo," "Sensu," "Kingyo Hanabi."

This weekend will be a non-album update, but a little different than usual.... would you all mind if I put up anime songs with vocals?

Alright, has someone deleted the entire .zip file of the album? Only eleven people have downloaded--or, should I say that eleven people have commented--so there's no reason it shouldn't be up.

If this continues, I'll have to make this journal friends only... and I would really hate to do that. =/

こんにちわ皆~! Hello, everybody! ^__^ I'm filling in for the lovely, awesome asianmoosic today. She currently does not have access to LJ, but did not want to go another week without an update. So, I, [info]crystalrayne the behind-the-scenes helper, will be helping her out. And to let you know, I will fill in and update, if possible, when she can't.

And finally, here is Utada Hikaru's "Deep River" album. Enjoy~~

AsianMoosic wants to thank [info]thetragicreturn for providing about a third of the album. ^__^ (I don't know what happened to the lj username and I can't contact asianmoosic right now, so sorry.)

Thoughts: For me, Utada Hikaru = love. Yet, for some reason, I only found Deep River to be okay. A lot of the tracks just don’t have that—-special ingredient, or whatever it is; the feeling that Hikki really put effort into it—that makes most of her songs so great. It almost gets a little boring at times, and repetitive—“Uso Mitai Na I Love You” sounds almost exactly like “Hikari,” except a little more rockish. Highlight tracks: “Traveling,” “Deep River,” “Tokyo Nights,” “Uso Mitai na I Love You,” and “Hikari.”

As you all might have guessed, there won't be any update this week. a) I'm in the mood to kill someone, not put up music and b) I just got a little place to host these files, and it takes 7 days to be able to put up files as large as MP3s.

    So, check back next weekend.

    Update o7 [April 9th, 2005]

Okay. I would be putting up Utada Hikaru today... however, I ran into some problems. Two months ago, I had the entire album. Now, mysteriously, I'm missing some of the songs. So I'm putting up W's album, along with a regular random-songs post-- and I'll keep searching for the missing files. I swear the moment I find them, I'll put up Deep River. Even if it's not a weekend. ^__^

Oh, and this entry is partially hosted by YouShareIt. I wanted to put all of them on there (since it allows 100 downloads per file, shows how many times it's been downloaded, and is nicer to uploaders) but after five songs it just stopped working. =/ So the rest are on YouSendIt. No comments today, because I'm tired. ^_^ And yes, there are quite a few English songs today.

Okay, here's the deal. I'm going to try and post this weekend. I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow, fairly early, so I won't be able to do it then. I'll get back on Sunday; but I'll have to finish up some schoolwork and get ready because that's the last day of spring break. So we shall see if I make it or not. ^__^ However, if I can't do it this weekend, then I will upload the album the next.

Utada Hikaru won. So expect Deep River next update!!!
